Race Postponed
Posted on January 28th, 2010 No commentsKia ora everyone! Have decided to postpone the Hoe Toa race on Saturday 30th January 2010. I (Kingi G) didn’t give the race enough of a marketing push before January and as such the paddler numbers are low. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will look at running another event later in the year. Warmest regards, Kingi Gilbert (Race Director).,

Race Call as at Thurs 15:30pm
Posted on January 27th, 2010 No commentsIt look like the predominant winds will be South East 10-15 knots so we will still run Maraetai to Orakei.
The race call will be made at 12:00 midday on Friday 29 January 2010. Stay tuned to the website.

Hoe Toa means “paddle bravely” or “paddle strongly” and is a phrase that is recognized throughout Polynesian speaking nations. The New Zealand based series challenges paddlers to a variety of fun single-man and two-man craft races at different venues over the New Zealand summer months (January and February).
